Summer project from holidays before the start of my second year studying Film Production Technology.

Presentation Video of Printing Press - Datagraphic Ltd

An instructional video created for Datagraphic Ltd to aid the sale of a second hand printing press. Not the most exciting or well made piece of filming but it was done on my Canon Mv700 handheld and with an amateur tripod so it was never going to be a masterpiece!

Only One - Yellowcard

This was the first real film I made. It was done as a piece of coursework for my A2 Media Studies, and had to be a music video on the song of our choice. I had a real obsession with this song at the time, which was why I chose it, and was particularly proud of the idea of filming the band playing in the church, as it reinforced the theme of death in the film.

I know it’s quite a morbid one, but my Media Studies teacher always said that it is easier to make a depressing film than a comedy or drama, which so far in my filmmaking has proven to be completely true!

It wasn’t a bad first attempt at creating a music video, considering it was done completely individually over the course of about 6 months. However when I look back I can’t quite grasp why it took me so long, as I think I could now produce the same quality film in a matter of days :P
